OVERVIEW
Most people who contact a probate lawyer are doing so for the first time, often in the weeks after losing a family member. The Law Office of Troy M. Moore, PLLC was built for exactly that situation: a Houston firm that guides Texas families through probate, estate planning, trust administration, and personal injury matters with clear explanations and steady, experienced counsel.
The firm operates from two Houston offices, one in Northwest Houston and one in The Heights. Over 25 years of practice, more than 3,500 clients have been served, and the firm holds over 100 five-star reviews. Clients work directly with Troy Moore throughout their case, and the firm remains available around the clock for urgent probate matters.
Background
Founded in 2008 by Troy M. Moore, Attorney at Law
Troy Moore was raised in Cypress, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Texas A&M University in 1998 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2001, where he made the Dean's List and served as Editor in Chief of the Corporate Counsel Review. He was licensed in Texas that same year and founded his own practice shortly after, focused on serving the Houston community where he grew up.
The practice was founded in response to a persistent gap in the Houston legal market. Probate and estate matters typically arrive during periods of grief and uncertainty, and families too often navigate them with limited guidance, unclear pricing, and inconsistent communication from their counsel. Troy built his firm on a different standard: plain English explanations, transparent flat-fee pricing, and direct access to the attorney handling the case.
Over 25 years, that standard has supported steady growth. The practice today covers probate administration, estate planning, trust administration, life insurance litigation, will contests, and personal injury, and opened its second office in The Heights in 2025. Throughout that growth, the founding model has remained unchanged: Troy personally handles every case.

Our Approach
The firm is intentionally structured as a focused practice rather than a high volume operation. That structure supports the elements clients value most: flat-fee pricing, direct attorney communication, and a paralegal team with detailed knowledge of every active file.
Clients typically contact the firm during difficult periods in their lives. The firm’s role is to manage the legal process competently and communicate clearly, allowing families to focus on one another rather than on court procedure. That responsibility shapes the culture of the office at every level.
